Bhagwant Mann met the Punjab governor and demanded the formation of a government
Chandigarh: In Punjab, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief ministerial candidate Bhagwant Mann met Governor Banwarilal Purohit on Saturday. He called for the formation of a new government. He will be sworn in as Chief Minister on March 14.
Bhagwant Mann was elected as the party’s leader at a meeting of AAP legislators in Mohali on Friday. Many AAP legislators, including Harpal Singh Khema, Aman Arora, Baljinder Kaur, Sarabjit Kaur, Gurumit Singh Mit Haar, Buddha Ram, Kanwar Vijay Pratap Singh, Jeevanjyot Kaur and Dr Charanjit Singh, are in the AAP government.
Bhagwant Mann has invited Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP’s national host and Delhi Chief Minister, to his swearing-in ceremony. Bhagwant Mann will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Khatkar Kalan, the ancestral village of Bhagat Singh, a great freedom fighter from Navansai district. According to a statement issued by the app, Bhagwant Mann and Kejriwal will visit the Golden Temple, the Durgiana Temple and the Shri Ramtirtha Temple on Sunday. He will also take part in a road show in Amritsar and celebrate the victory of the app and thank the voters. The Aam Aadmi Party won 42 seats in the 119-member assembly
