According to a recent study by the University of Bath in England, a week-long break from social media can improve your mental health. That is, if you struggle with symptoms of depression and anxiety, they may decrease in just one week.
What is digital detox?

The researchers included 156 people between the ages of 18 and 42. They were divided into two groups. The first group was banned from social media while the second group continued to use social media as before. Participants spent an average of 4 hours a week playing social media apps.
After a week of research, 3 of the participants were tested. This includes questions about depression and anxiety. The results showed that the group’s health improved from 7 to 55.83 after a week-long break on the War Week-Edinburgh mental health scale. At the same time, patients’ levels of depression in the Questionnaire Health Questionnaire dropped from 7.8 to 7.8. On this scale, anxiety ranged from 7.62 to 5.6.
A little break from social media is quite helpful:
Researcher Jeff Lambert said that in just one week, the morale of the first group improved and symptoms of anxiety subsided. This means that even a short break from social media can have a positive effect on mental health.
