Kantbanji: Gobind Sahu, the main accused in the popular Mamita Meher murder case, will be autopsied today. Govind’s post mortem will be held at Bhimvoi Medical Center in Balangi. 2 experts from Burla Medical College FMT Department will conduct the autopsy.
Last Tuesday, Gobind Sahu committed suicide in the jail premises. He was hanging from a tree by hanging a mat. The jail staff took him to the hospital but the doctor declared him brought dead. Gobind Sahu would have appeared in the court yesterday. Kantabanji Jail Ward Akshay Kumar Mohanty has been suspended for negligence in Gobind Sahu’s death. The Director General of Police has ordered the Crime Branch to investigate the death of Gobind Sahu.
