Incidents of flights to differently abled boys! Indigo Airlines fined Rs 5 lakh
New Delhi: Indigo Airlines, which does not allow differently abled children to travel, has become costly. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has fined Indigo Rs 5 lakh for this. Earlier this month, a different boy was allegedly barred from boarding a plane bound for Hyderabad at Ranchi airport.
The boy’s parents also decided not to board the plane in protest. Indigo has been told the boy was frightened when he boarded a Ranchi-Hyderabad flight at Ranchi airport.
The DGCA, the country’s top regulator for air travel, said the investigation found that Indigo’s ground staff had made the situation more sensitive and difficult by not allowing the disabled child to board the plane. This is a violation of the DGCA guidelines.
The flight attendants should take care of passenger problems. According to reports, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia himself intervened and ordered an inquiry into the incident on May 7. He later formed the Fact Finding Committee Indigo employees violate the rules
