IPL-2022: Bangalore set a 156-run target for Rajasthan
AHMEDABAD: Royal Challengers Bangalore were limited to 154 runs due to Rajasthan bowlers’ measured bowling in the IPL-2022 qualifier on Friday. Rajasthan have a target of 156 runs to reach the final. With the exception of Rajat Patidar, the hero of the last match, no other batsman has scored a big goal. Patidar scored 54 runs. Rajasthan’s famous Krishna (22) and Obed McCoy (23) took three wickets each to curb the run from Bengaluru.
In the match played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Rajasthan won the toss and elected to bowl first. Bangalore’s main batsman Virat Kohli, who batted first, failed again. He was dismissed for just four runs. However, captains Faf Duplessis and Rajat Patidar batted carefully to take the lead. The two had a partnership of 40 runs. Patidar, who scored a century in the last match, scored 58 runs in the match. Duplessis scored 25, while Maxwell scored 24. But after Patidar was out, the midfield batsmen failed again. As a result, the team’s pace slowed and the team lost 8 wickets in 20 overs and scored 156 runs. For Rajasthan, Krishna and Obed Makai took three wickets apiece. The winner of the match will meet Gujarat in the final on Sunday.
