Lightning is expected in 12 districts across the state today || Chance of rain in different parts of the state
Bhubaneswar: Heavy rains have lashed parts of the state due to the monsoon. Heavy rains have lashed parts of the state in the last 36 hours. Today and tomorrow there is a possibility of showers in various parts of inland Odisha, including northern and southern coastal Odisha.
Yellow warnings have been issued to 12 districts. Temperatures have dropped by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius across the state in the last 24 hours. However, the heat and humidity have not diminished.
The northern coastal state of Odisha, including Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Anugul and Dhenkanal districts, is expected to receive winds of 70 to 50 kmph. Similarly, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada and Koraput districts are likely to experience thunderstorms on the 25th. Therefore, the meteorological center has issued all these district water yellow warnings.
