Increasing Summer Flow: Special Guidelines for Schools Continue

Odisha: OSEPA (Odisha School Education Programme) has issued guidelines for the state’s summer flow. In a letter to the DOE and DPC, the state project director of Osepar issued the guidelines. The guidelines instruct educational institutions to be prepared for the summer heat wave. The school has been asked to stock up on drinking water and ORS. Parents are also advised to send children to school with water bottles.

In view of the rising temperatures, the Osepa (Odisha School Education Program Authority) has issued directives to pay special attention to the safety of children in educational institutions. The district education officer of all the districts, the project coordinator, Anupam Shah, has been instructed to take precautionary measures against the children. Similarly, Vishnupad Sethi, Chief Administrative Secretary, Department of Mass Education, has also issued guidelines for the management of schools in the summer. He encouraged ordinary people as well to take part in solving this great task: “One of the things you and other people can do is keep up the pressure … there are going to be some difficult decisions for government”.
