Nayagarh: The Hockey World Cup trophy arrived in Nayagarh. Elaborate arrangements have been made by the administration to receive the trophy. For this, a marathon of students will start from Nayagarh College and go to the South Kali Temple in Old City. Later, a cultural program has been organized to receive the trophy at Jagannath Temple. After Bhubaneswar, Nayagarh district got the first opportunity to receive the trophy, so there is excitement among the sports lovers.
It is reported that the Hockey World Cup trophy reached Odisha last Sunday after traveling all over the country. The trophy was given a rousing salute on arrival at the Bhubaneswar Biju Patnaik International Airport. Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Tusarkanti Behera, Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey, Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das and other senior officials were present at the airport to welcome the trophy. After visiting various places in Bhubaneswar, the trophy left for Niagara on Sunday evening.
