
Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) 2023 begins at 47 centres
The entrance examination is being conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode for all the courses. A total of 55,979 candidates have applied to appear for the entrance test. Out of these, a total of 49,879 candidates have opted for CBT mode.

The Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) commenced on Monday. This year, the examination is being conducted in 47 centres at 33 locations with three being set up outside the State. Odisha is one of the few States in the country that conducts a common entrance examination for admission to professional courses in engineering and medical colleges. The examination for admission to various courses in government and private colleges and universities in the State is being conducted in three shifts- 9am to 11am, 12.30pm to 2.30pm and 4pm o 6pm. The examination will continue till May 15.
While the examinations for lateral entry, MCA and MTech are being held on the first day, the examination for MBA and BPharm will be held on the second day. Similarly, the examinations for MCA and MTech will be held on May 11 and 12 respectively.

As the candidates entered the examination hall, they were asked to deposit their mobile phones at the entrance and remove all that they were wearing like earrings, chains, watches, bracelets and belts. They entered the examination hall only with their admit cards, photos and Aadhaar cards.
Both candidates and their parents beamed with excitement. The candidates were excited to fulfill their dreams, while their parents were thrilled for the bright future of their children.
