Odisha Sahitya Academy’s state-level Kantkabi Jayanthi at Janam Mati

Tihidi: On behalf of Odisha Sahitya Academy, the state-level birth anniversary of Kantkabi Lashmi Kant Mahapatra has been held at Talpada, the birthplace of Kantkabi, under the patronage of academy member and Dhamnagar College president Sahalif Manigarahi. Poet Lashmi Kant Mahapatra was an orator, dramatist, author, children’s writer and humorist. His heart was filled with tears of patriotism and love for his country. The music of his life is “Jevan Sangeet” which is full of nationalism, mysticism, irony and life optimism. The poem ‘Bande Utkal Janani’, which describes the beauty and heroism of Utkal, is truly unique and his whole creation is extraordinary. Bhadrak district president Sidheswar Sabhiram Bondar, Hridananda Manigarahi, chief guest, Dr. Kshirod Samal was the keynote speaker and poet Abhijit Nayak was the guest speaker.

Academy member Palachandra Bahli gave the introductory remarks and senior lawyer Anshmani Das gave the guest introduction and welcome speech. Among others, the guest of honor included local MLA Suraj Suryashulhi Situapraj, Panchayat Samiti Adhyaksha Avanti Das, Zilla Parishad Member Ms. Adalatha Naik, Poet Deenbandhu Patti, Poet Vibhuthi Bhushan Grahacharya, Senior Journalist Ram Narayan Naik, Pancha Kumar Raul, Voice Kalyan Mohapatra, Narayan Chandra Kar in their brief speeches. provided. Sarpanch Jayashree Behera, Rakesh Mahapatra and Bhukishyam Jena conducted the meeting under the direction of the Academy Secretary. In the beginning, Utkal Janani was sung during the opening music.
