Mominul continued to fight despite the wicket going to one end. He was on his way to his 5th Test century when he was run out by Ashwin. Before getting out, he has played an innings of 84 runs with 12 fours and one six. After dismissing Mominul, on the 5th ball of the same over, Ashwin dismissed Khaled Ahmed as the last batsman to complete the Bangladesh innings. Mominul fought but Bangladesh lost the last 5 wickets for 14 runs and the team has stopped at 227 runs. On the other hand, by the time stumps were removed on the first day today, India had collected 19 runs without losing any wicket. Captain KL Rahul scored 3 runs (30 balls) and Shubman Gill remained unbeaten with 14 runs (20 balls). Umesh Jadav and Ravichandran Ashwin took 4 wickets each from India. Jaydev Unadkot took 2 wickets. In the first test, the Indian team defeated Bangladesh by 188 runs. India leads the series 1-0.
