The country was embarrassed by the BJP: Uddhav Thackeray
Mumbai: Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over the Prophet Mohammad controversy. The country has been humiliated and embarrassed internationally by the BJP leader’s controversial remarks. Arab countries put pressure on India to apologize. On the one hand, inflation is rising and the value of money is declining (against the dollar). Uddhav, on the other hand, addressed a rally in Aurangabad that the BJP was only concerned about finding shibboleths in the mosque.
Uddhav has also criticized the Center for the recent killings of Hindus in Kashmir. He said that through the CBI and the Directorate of Enforcement, the leaders of the Maharashtra Development Front should be raided there (in Kashmir) instead of harassing them. Commenting on the controversial remarks made by former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma against Prophet Mohammad, he said, What was the fault of the country? The whole country is notorious because of the leaders of the BJP and its spokespersons. ”
“What the BJP or its spokesperson has to say on any issue will never be India’s opinion,” Thackeray said. India’s image has been tarnished internationally by the BJP spokesperson’s remarks (addressed to Prophet Muhammad). It is not the BJP that has tarnished the image of my country. “I want to ask RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat whether he expects such behavior from the BJP,” Thackeray said.
