The Government may impose a two-day ‘India shutdown’, ESMA
New Delhi: The country’s labor movement is once again on the rise. The Central Trade Union Federation has called for a two-day shutdown in India in protest of the central government’s privatization policy. The union has decided to close India on March 24 and 28. The strike was called off by bank, transport, roadways and electricity officials.
A forum of the Central Trade Unions called for a shutdown in India on Monday and Tuesday. The call comes in protest of the Modi government’s policy. It is alleged that the ambassador provided the information to Hussein. That is why many institutions have taken the lead in shutting down India as a protest. So it is believed that the state governments may apply the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) to thwart this shutdown.

The trade union has issued advance notice to the coal, steel, oil, telecom, postal, income tax, copper, banking and insurance sectors. The BJP government at the center is alleged to be harassing the working class with its policies.
Many businesses are likely to be closed due to the closure of India. The biggest impact on banking can be seen. Banks are expected to have a significant impact on March 28 and 28. For this, State Bank has informed its customers in advance in this regard. Transportation services are also expected to be closed on Monday and Tuesday.
