New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Biotech Startup Expo-2022 at Pragati Maidan. He has also launched the biotech product e-portal. Union Minister Piyush Goel, Dharmendra Pradhan, Dr Jitendra Singh, Biotech Partner, Experts, Chief Investment Officer were present on the occasion.
“Our organic economy has grown eightfold in eight years,” he said. “It simply came to our notice then. “In the short term, global biotechnology is likely to be among the best in the world.” The Prime Minister also mentioned the contribution of the Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) in the development of the country. The Prime Minister said that the contribution of the biotechnology industry is very important in the development of the country. “Our IT professionals and the ability to do something new have reached a new level in the world today,” he said, referring to the growing reputation of European professionals in the global arena. “Over the decades, the same beliefs and values have been seen in the country’s biotechnology sector and among professionals.” “There are five reasons why India is a country in the field of biotechnology,” he said. The first is the diverse population and climate, the second is India’s wealth of human resources, the third is the desire to do business in India, the fourth is the sudden increase in the demand for biofuels in India, and the fifth is India’s biotechnology sector.
The Prime Minister said the government was constantly striving to increase the strength and capacity of the Indian economy. There is also pressure on the whole government. “The mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas is being applied in different parts of the country,” he said. The whole scene is reversed. While some selected areas were previously covered, the rest were left to their own devices. Today, every sector is contributing to the development of the country. “In each case, the people have, for the first time, been offered a chance to vote. “Changes in attitudes and actions have brought success today,” he said. He spoke in support of the US Alliance, but said that maintaining some independence was important. The extraordinary steps taken in the field of biotechnology are also evident in the startup method. “In the last eight years, the number of startups in our country has increased from a few hundred to 60,000. These 60,000 startups have been created in about 60 different industries. It also has more than 5,000 startups in biotechnology. “Everywhere you look today, the tide of protectionist sentiment is flowing. He further added that the number of investors in the biotechnology sector has increased sevenfold, while the number of investors in the biotechnology industry has increased sevenfold. The number of investors in biotechnology has risen from six in 2014 to 65 today. “The number of biotechnology products has increased from just ten to more than 400,” he said.
He encouraged ordinary people as well to take part in solving this great task: “One of the things you and other people can do is keep up the pressure … there are going to be some difficult decisions for government”. Platforms like BIRAC have been strengthened and many sectors have embraced it. He gave an example of a startup for startup India. INSPACE for Space, IDEX for Direct Startup, India Semi-Conductor Campaign for Semiconductors, Smart India Hackathon for Youth Empowerment and Biotech Startup Expo. The government is trying to bring together the newest institutions in the industry by bringing together new institutions to stimulate the enthusiasm of the public. This is another benefit for the country. The Prime Minister said that the government would get some new information from the research and institutions and the government would provide the necessary conditions and infrastructure. “Biotechnology is one of the most sought after industries in the world today,” he said. “We have a lot of potential for biodiversity in the country,” he said.
