MUMBAI: The country’s major stock market opened with a green signal on the second trading day of the week on Tuesday amid weak signals from the world market. Initial trading, the Sensex and Nifty opened with green signals. The Sensex traded up 108.6 points, or 0.20 percentage points, to close at 5,555.45 on Tuesday. The Nifty rose 27.50 points, or 0.17 percent, to close at 19331.60.
Initial trading, the Sensex traded 30 to 20 shares with the green signal. During today’s trading session, the stock market was trading at 1304 shares. In addition, there was a decline in 954 shares and no change in 4 shares. Earlier in the day, the Sensex fell about 375 points. The 30-share BSE index traded down 39.61 points to close at 57.60.6 points. Similarly, the Nifty of the National Stock Exchange fell 106.40 points to 16,301.45 points.
