Lucknow: In the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the BSP and the Congress are in a slump this time around. Fighting here is only between the BJP and the SP. In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP has garnered more than 90 per cent of the vote. In addition, Yogi Adityanath’s BJP has won 283 seats and returned to power. However, the team is four seats behind last time.

Similarly, the SPA was found to be leading in 120 seats. That’s 4 times more than last time. But the Mayawati-led BSP is leading in just four seats. The BSP has lost 15 seats since last time. The Congress is also leading in seven seats. The Congress won four seats last time. It is learned that the Congress contested the 2014 assembly elections in alliance with the SP. The Congress won four seats and received about 7.50 percent of the vote. The SP won nine seats with 27.3 percent of the vote. In the last election, the BSP won 18 seats with more than 20 per cent of the vote.
